The standard wedding music consists of prelude, processional, ceremony and postlude music. Unless you have specific requests, the prelude music is often chosen by the quartet. They keep in mind the style of your wedding and choose the music accordingly. Traditionally, the processional consists of music for the seating of the family, selections for the bridal party, and a piece for the bride’s entrance. You will also need to choose one song for the recessional. There are always exceptions, so do not feel compelled to adhere to this structure; professional musicians can easily customize your wedding music to your preferences. Philadelphia String Quartet created five sample programs to simplify selecting your wedding music. Each program is designed with various wedding themes and styles in mind. (Traditional, Jewish, Contemporary, etc.)
