Dear Chow Fancier:

Welcome Chow enthusiasts to the  Chow Chow Club of Greater New York website !

The Chow Chow Club of Greater New York was founded in 1977. It has been sanctioned by the AKC since 1985 to hold specialty shows, recently celebrating it`s 20th anniversary.

Our goal as a Club is to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of the purebred Chow Chow. In addition to promoting responsible dog ownership and good sportsmanship.

Our membership consists of approximately one-half breeder/exhibitors and one-half pet owners.

We conduct at least two Match shows every year, which gives chow owners an opportunity to bring their show prospects out to practice for real dog shows. In addition these match shows allow pet owners to have the experience of being in a dog show atmosphere.   Contact the secretary Linda Albert for dates and locations..

We hold a "Chow Fun Day" in the early spring each year. It consists of an AKC B match  with fun classes for all Chows, educational programs ,and a tag sale with lots of raffles. A day to spend some real quality time with you and your chow!

Our  Specialty Show is held in May in conjunction with the Ladies Kennel Association of America.Chowists come from near and far to showcase their dogs at this event.. It is followed  by a fabulous dinner and auction at a local restaurant.Good food, good company and lots of chow talk!..This is an event not to me missed!!!!

Our club holds four Board and General Meetings each year throughout the greater New York area and we welcome all guests . If you would like to attend a meeting please contact our club Secretary.
